Description
The most common repair we carry out on the iPad is the iPad digitiser touch screen replacement.
The screen on the early iPad models is made up of two parts, the touch screen which reacts to touch and a bottom separate LCD screen that displays the picture. We remove the iPad digitiser with a special hot plate that evenly heats the iPad to a safe temperature but allows the screen to be removed from its glue. We then clean the area and refit a new iPad digitiser touch screen. Heat is then reapplied to activate the new glue and the finished repair is ready to return to the customer when it has cooled down and has been checked.
In some instances the case can be badly damaged if the iPad has been dropped, so we will always try to fix any physical damage but in extreme cases may recommend fitting an iPad silicon cover to protect the sides.
