With the extra speed a SSD (solid state drive) gives this is an upgrade we are carrying out on iMacs, MacBooks, laptop and desktop pc’s on a regular basis. This particular iMac is slightly more complicated as the screen is glued onto the housing and requires removal before we can carry this upgrade out.
Once the screen was removed we normally clone the hard drive which means other than a large increase in speed it is exactly the same as before the hard drive replacement, unfortunately this was not possible in this case as the original drive was faulty so a fresh install of the latest Mac operating system was installed and fully updated.
If you feel your computer is slow or sluggish this is in our opinion the best upgrade to carry out and on a medium spec computer will increase response time on all applications. Please contact any of our staff for a quote.
