A customer brought us a Nintendo Switch Oled (not pictured as it was collected before we had time to photograph it) that had problems connecting the right joycon. Normally its just a case of replacing the faulty slider.
This case wasn’t so straightforward as the customer had attempted the repair himself and damaged the philips cross head crew making it impossible to remove normally.
In this case we had to use , very carefully, a grinder to remove the side bar without damaging the screen or case. The result was positive and after removing the slider we checked the switch was still ok and replaced the offending part. Once tested we explained to the customer what we did and where they went wrong with the result being a working switch and another happy customer.
