PS2 Laser Version 5

This is the F type Version 5 PS2 Laser that is manufactured by Sony and is a thinner version of the D type laser.

It is not the R type laser manufactured by Sanyo!

Please check it is the correct laser that you are ordering.

The confusion arises because either type of laser can be in any Version 5, 6, 7 or 8 machine and cannot be identified (to our knowledge) until the machine is taken apart to be checked. Furthermore, the lasers are not interchangeable unless modification of the chipset takes place.
